Proprietor Peter Yuen has a passion for pastries
Trained for over a decade in the art of Classical baking as an apprentice to several legendary Master Bakers in Hong Kong, Peter graduated from world renowned French Pastry School in Chicago in the year 2000. Since then, he was recruited by The Four Seasons Hotel – Chicago, the chains’ flagship property.
The opening of La Patisserie P fulfilled Peter’s lifelong dreams
After several years, he advanced to become part of the opening team for the Sofitel Water Tower Place, Head Baker of the Hotel Sofitel Chicago. Taking on the huge responsibility, Peter carefully fulfilled his lifetime dreams. He and his wife Susan opened their very own up-scale bakery, La Patisserie P in 2004. He transformed the neighborhood with his up-scale approach and his talented baking skills of specialty pastries, while completing an entire renovation of his new bakery by summer of 2005. Peter plans to see new and exciting business growth, such as Sweet Passion Inc. and other developments in the near future.
